EXETER – Last month, Exeter residents approved the town’s fiscal year 2019-2020 budget, which totaled $16.2 million. The budget–$3.9 million of which was designated for the town government and $12.3 million for the school district–represented a 1.89 percent increase from last year. 

Roughly 140 residents and taxpayers attended the financial town meeting, wherein they voted on and approved nearly every significant budget resolution except for proposed increase in town planner Ashley Hahn-Sweet’s hours, which became the most contentious issue of the night.
