Misdemeanor — DUI (Second offense within five years) and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test (Civil): On Friday, April 1, 2022 at approximately 3:15 p.m., Sergeant William Litterio and Patrolman Anthony Meola arrested D’Ann R. Keniston, age 40 of 24 Spencer Drive, Westerly on charges of (1) Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs (2nd Offense-BAC Unknown) and (2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test (Civil). The arrest was the result of a Good Samaritan calling 911 to report the vehicle Ms. Keniston had been crossing the centerline of the road. Ms. Keniston on scene. Ms. Keniston was transported to the Richmond Police Station where she refused to consent to a chemical test upon request. Ms. Keniston was processed, arraigned and released on surety bail with a date to appear in 4th Division District Court for re-arraignment on the misdemeanor charge.

Misdemeanor — DUI (First Offense — BAC of .1-.15): On Sunday, April 3, 2022 at approximately 10:35 a.m., Sergeant Michael Lawing and Patrolman Andy Briody arrested Moranda M. Rodriguez, age 41 of 56 Spruce Street, Westerly, on a charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and/or Drugs (First Offense — BAC of .1 to .15). Ms. Rodriguez had been stopped for motor vehicle violations on Kingstown Road and was arrested on suspicion of DUI based on officer observations and her performance on a series of standardized field sobriety tests. Ms. Rodriguez was transported to the content readings of .130 (1st phase) and .134 (2nd phase). Ms. Rodriguez was processed at the station and released on a summons to appear in 4th Division District Court to be arraigned on the charge.
