Coventry boys basketball coach suspened without pay

The school committee voted unanimously to suspend head boys basketball coach Stephen DeMeo, Jr. DeMeo, of Johnston, was arrested on charges of indecent solicitation of a child, possession of child pornography and possession of marijuana.
The boys basketball season begins on Nov. 22 and the job listing to fill the head coaching position was posted Wednesday.
