Charlestown council tables wind proposal indefinitely

CHARLESTOWN -- A proposal for two wind turbines on a property north of Route 1 is indefinitely tabled as of a public hearing held by the Town Council last Monday.

The council voted unanimously to table the proposal from Whalerock Renewable Energy and LL Properties because members of the board wanted more information for proceeding. They also felt it was a matter that the next council should handle following the Nov. 2 general election.
