CHARLESTOWN – The ongoing struggle to bring residents relief from the state Department of Environmental Management's requirement for expensive septic system upgrades continues.
The Town Council will consider adopting an amendment to its cesspool phase-out ordinance at its Nov. 8 meeting. This change will provide more time to certain residents who have to replace their cesspools with new septic systems.
