As the numbers decrease at the annual financial town meeting, the number of times the big question being asked increases.
Should East Greenwich continue to conduct the annual quorum that shares the upcoming fiscal budget with the public going forward despite the significant drop in attendance over the last few years?
It’s a question that will now be seriously talked about by the Town Council going forward.
Town Council President Michael Isaacs stated via telephone Monday afternoon that discussions about the future of the financial town meeting, as well as any other proposed alterations to the town charter, will be placed as an agenda item for a future Council meeting, with a date yet to be determined.
