NORTH KINGSTOWN—Only a pile of charred wood and household materials remained Monday morning after a house on King Street was completely consumed by fire. At approximately 3 a.m. Monday morning, North Kingstown firefighters responded to the home at 25 King St., in which a person was found dead.
“Upon arrival, the structure was fully engulfed,” said Deputy Chief Scott Kettelle. “Firefighters surrounded the dwelling and worked to prevent the fire from spreading, which did spread to some vehicles near to the house.”
