WOOD RIVER JUNCTION – Voters in the three towns passed the $55.4 million Chariho school budget Tuesday.
The budget passed on the first try by a vote of 912 in favor 622 against.
“I’m very, very pleased that the budget passed and truly appreciate the support of the community for the district,” Superintendent Barry Ricci said Wednesday morning. “The budget is a good budget and is responsive to the needs of our students and is very fair to the taxpayers.”
