SOUTH KINGSTOWN – A New York man was arrested early Monday morning after allegedly breaking into two Charlestown businesses and a market in Matunuck.
South Kingstown police arrested 25-year-old Luis Ortiz-Correa around 6 a.m. Monday after responding to a burglar alarm at Seaview Marketplace around 3:30 a.m.
When officers arrived at the market at 682 Matunuck beach Road, they discovered the front glass door was broken. They entered the business and found that an ATM machine and two cash registers had been stolen.
Police said officers then checked the area in an attempt to locate any suspects.
