NARRAGANSETT – Robert M. Taylor, who is accused of murdering his mother, Allison M. Taylor, entered no plea to a charge of domestic murder today at the 4th District Court in Wakefield.
Taylor, 45, of 485 Plainfield St., Apt. 204, Providence, was arraigned before Judge Walter Gorman, and ordered held without bail until his felony court date on May 15.
Taylor, who appeared in court in hospital scrubs with bandages around his wrists, allegedly murdered his 65-year-old mother in Narragansett sometime after Saturday, according to Narragansett Police.
Police responded to Allison Taylor’s residence at 130 Caswell St., Narragansett, to investigate a larceny complaint.
When officers arrived, they met Robert Taylor and “found conditions that immediately caused the officers to become suspicious.”
Upon further investigation, officials located human remains in the dumpster at the apartment complex.
According to Narragansett Police Chief Dean Hoxsie, the state Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy for positive identification of the victim and potential cause of death.
Hoxsie said Taylor was held overnight Tuesday night at Rhode Island Hospital in the psychiatric unit.
