WEST WARWICK – The West Warwick chapter of the Lions Club will host their annual breakfast at West Warwick High School Saturday, December 9 from 7 a.m. to noon.
Ramona Rozh, Lyn Blasé, Tracy Mansour-Flynne, Denise Tronjoro and Ginny DiMasi are the event organizers.
Rozh explained how the event began again last year after the Lions had been disbanded for a number of years.
“We want to bring the tradition back,” she said. “We’ve always had a great turnout and the West Warwick Fire Department has really been a huge, huge help as well as everyone from the school to help get this all together – everyone helps everyone.”
The Lions Club is a community service organization best known for supplying those in need with eyeglasses. However the organization, founded I 1917, assists the elderly and disabled, helps the environment and feeds the hungry.
“At this year’s breakfast, we’ll have eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, Danish, juice, coffee and other great stuff,” said Rozh. “It’s $8 for adults, $4 for children free for children under 5 years old.”
Proceeds will go to benefit the Zinno family. For more information contact Rozh at 826-0581.
