Pounding surf churned by the advancing hurricane Sunday, gives this seascape off Beavertail, in Jamestown, an otherworldly appearance. Elsewhere on the island a car was swept into Sheffield Cove and power outages were still being reported on Tuesday. Police reported no injuries or damage to marine vessels.
