COVENTRY – Residents along a portion of Pulaski Street between North and South Streets will soon be seeing more green with less gray.
Rhodes Technologies, a pharmaceutical company located next to a the West Bay Bike Path, will be installing greenery, improving drainage and repaving small portions of the roadway leading to portions of the company’s parking areas as a way of giving back to the community to beautify the area.
Representatives for Rhodes went before members of the Coventry Town Council at their June 25 meeting, where the council unanimously approved the company’s purchase of portions of the three streets for $8,100 total fair market value.
“They proposed to do some pretty significant improvements so in lieu of that, we’re waiving that cost,” said Coventry Town Manager Thomas Hoover. “For the town, it’s no cost at all; it’s a win-win.”
