The owner of a mobile home park successfully won a refund of his impact fee from the Town Council Monday night.
Harry R. Lewis, owner of Sun Valley Mobile Home Village on Cooper Lane, received his $4,547 impact fee for Lot 23 on his property by the council's unanimous vote after he requested a refund from the town two weeks ago.
The dispute stems from Lewis combining two of the 27 lots in his development to accommodate a 60-foot manufactured home on a platform which had not been occupied for more than a year. Lewis paid the impact fee at the time while planning to appeal to the council for a refund.
