NARRAGANSETT—On Tuesday evening, The Narragansett Chamber of Commerce presented Kenneth Rosbottom, a Narragansett resident, with the James M. Kelso Community Service Award. The presentation was given during the Chamber’s annual dinner at Spain’s Restaurant, and Rosbottom’s nomination was met with great applause.
“I am very honored to be recognized as this year’s recipient of the James M. Kelso Community Service Award,” said Rosbottom. “Community service is a way to give back, and I prefer to think that it is an opportunity for me to contribute.”
Rosbottom’s resume as an active community organizer and leader is extensive, dedicating his time to local businesses and foundations. He has given service to the South County YMCA, Katie DeCubellis Memorial Foundation, and South County Hospital. Rosbottom has also volunteered to local groups such as the Narragansett Lions Club, Narragansett Little League and Saint Mary’s Star-of-the-Sea Church in Narragansett.
