East Greenwich 18, St. Raphael 6
EAST GREENWICH - Playing in another do-or-die game, East Greenwich scored early and didn't stop the rest of the game, eliminated St. Raphael from the Division I playoffs with an 18-6 win.
The Avengers scored 18 runs on 16 hits, three of which were home runs. John Kalajian had a pair of two-run shots and David Hopkins hit one in his 4-for-6 day.
Tolman 14, Narragansett 4
PAWTUCKET - The Narragansett baseball team looked like they'd have a shot to upset Tolman after playing a close game with the Tigers in a loss Wednesday.
Tolman made sure it was never close.
After the Mariners scored one run in the first inning, Tolman came back with three in the bottom half and eight over the next three and even a Billy Byrne home run couldn't save the Mariners in a 14-4, mercy-rule shortened game.
Hendricken 4, South Kingstown 1
WARWICK - After the South Kingstown baseball team lost to Middletown Wednesday, Rebel shortstop Harrison Barlow said the team was still confident and could make it to McCoy.
Unfortunately for SK, it ran into the defending state champs a little earlier than it wanted.
SK played well, but couldn't get to Hendricken senior Nick Panarello in a 4-1 loss Friday, ending the Rebels' season.
Alex Coppa and Connor Morse threw well, giving up a combined four runs, but the Rebels managed only four hits of Panarello and didn't score until the seventh inning.
