PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island Judiciary recognized 97 longtime employees for their length of state service and honored 12 retirees and six Employees of the Year from the various courts.
And locally, two Richmond residents were shown appreciation for their work: Heather R. Doucette, who has worked in Family Court for 10 years, and Debra A. Weeden, who has worked in District Court for 20 years.
The employees personally received certificates from Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul A. Suttell, State Court Administrator J. Joseph Baxter Jr., and the chief judges and administrators from their respective courts.
Supreme Court employees received their certificates from Chief Justice Suttell and Baxter. Superior Court employees received theirs from senior Associate Justice Robert D. Krause and Administrator Joseph V. Conley. Family Court employees received theirs from Chief Judge Haiganush R. Bedrosian and Administrator Ronald Pagliarini. District Court employees received theirs from Chief Judge Jeanne E. LaFazia and Administrator Kevin M. Spina.
Workers' Compensation Court employees received certificates from Chief Judge George E. Healy Jr. and Executive Director Maureen H. Aveno. Traffic Tribunal employees received theirs from Chief Magistrate William R. Guglietta and acting Administrator Thomas J. Laliberte.

Furtado of East Providence; and Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal Employee of the Year: Metaxia Capraro of Cranston.
