WAKEFIELD–For the third consecutive year, South County Hospital is proud to be the co-sponsor of the annual Gloria Gemma “Pink Out” men's basketball game tonight at the URI Ryan Center.
The Pink Out is both a fund-raiser and an awareness-raiser, for the benefit of women in Rhode Island facing breast cancer. Proceeds from sales of tickets to the game and the pink t-shirts promoting the event, plus donations and sponsorship dollars will go to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, a Rhode Island-based organization whose mission is to increase awareness of breast cancer, provide education and support to women facing breast cancer, and generate funds for research and breast health programs (see www.gloriagemma.org to learn more).
The Breast Health Program at South County Hospital—which offers a comprehensive range of medical services for women facing breast cancer, along with the knowledgeable and personalized guidance of the Program’s coordinator—regularly collaborates with the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation to make available support groups, education classes, and other special programs for women in South County.
