RICHMOND – The true first step toward bringing full-time activities for area seniors back to the town's community center occurred this past Thursday afternoon.
Since the disbanding of the Richmond Senior Citizens Association this fall, a group of concerned residents has been meeting with town officials to find a way to fill the void created by the association.
And as the weeks passed, pieces began coming together for the group of residents. Within a month or so, the Town Council created a temporary group address the issue called the Richmond Social Activities Ad Hoc Committee, which features eight members.
