HOPKINTON – One of the new Town Council's first actions was to move forward with advertising that it is looking for people interested in joining the Charter Review Committee.
Councilor Barbara Capalbo requested a discussion of this topic as she felt that the town should deal with reviewing and correcting portions of its charter in the coming year. Also, she just wanted to begin a conversation about the charter to allow people to have time to think about volunteering to be on the committee.
Previously, the board had between seven to nine people on it, Capalbo said, and she would like to see that many on there this time. “I want to make sure people are thinking about it … and discussing it so we can have a lot of interested people revise our charter,” she said.
