Superior Court Judge Edwin Gale, who found Reale competent to face charges, will sentence Reale for a “substantial” prison term on Dec. 17. According to state law, the maximum penalty for the charge is a 10-year prison sentence.
Members of the Foote family appeared in court as well, sitting behind prosecutor Cindy Soccio, a special assistant attorney general in Washington County.
Diana and Thomas Reale sat gravely behind their daughter's attorney, Stephen Famiglietti. Reale continues to be held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions.
