After a couple weeks of confusion, the site for next Thursday's Thanksgiving Day battle between South Kingstown and North Kingstown has been finalized and left some feeling a bit disappointed.
The game - originally scheduled to be played at NK High School, then switched back to URI's Meade Stadium, the game's host the previous five season - will be played on Thanksgiving at North Kingstown High School at 10 a.m. according to NK Athletic Director James Marcello, who told SRIN Sports on Friday morning. North Kingstown was serving as the home team regardless of the site of the game.
The news is good for NK, which should earn a decent amount of money from gate receipts and concessions to help its sports programs.
The news was not taken well at South Kingstown and a few of the players didn't know of the change until they were asked about it after their 35-0 win over Moses Brown Friday night.
