South Kingstown's Reign in Boys Tennis Comes to an End

May 23, 2013

It finally happened.
For the last 14 years the South Kingstown boys tennis team has celebrated winning the Division I Championship on Memorial Day Weekend but this spring there will not be a 15th.
The Rebels dropped a 4-2 decision to LaSalle at Slater Park this afternoon in the D-I Quarterfinals to halt their reign atop the Rhode Island tennis world.
Of the six games that finished, five of them went to three sets.
For more on the end of the Rebels' historic run of championships pick up the May 28th edition of The Narragansett Times.
