PAWTUCKET – Hannah Zangari knew the odds were stacked against her.
In her time on the court – and not just for the North Kingstown girls tennis team – the junior had never beaten Bay View’s Rebecca Curran and Sunday’s Girls Tennis Singles Championship final certainly wasn’t the type of tournament where the favorite would just roll over.
It didn’t change Zangari’s attitude. She showed up to Slater Park last Sunday, put up a fight and left with no regrets after a 6-2, 6-3 loss to Curran.
