HOPE VALLEY -- Come celebrate the first day of spring with the Wood Pawcatuck Watershed Association while learning about some of our state's most spectacular little treasures - native wildflowers.
Karen Asher, a past president of the Rhode Island Wild Plant Society, will share her knowledge of both common and uncommon state wildflowers.
A wondrous slideshow will lead participants through the seasons with a succession of colorful blooms from early spring through late fall. This lecture is sure to inspire us all to include more native plants in our perennial borders and forest edges.
If you have an interest in gardening or just a love of flowers this is an event you won't want to miss.
The event takes place March 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the WPWA conference room at 203 Arcadia Road in Hope Valley.View more articles in:
