CHARLESTOWN -- On Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m., William S. Penhallow returns to Frosty Drew to present the results of 20 years of groundbreaking research on the stone tower that sits above the harbor in Newport.
There has been much speculation about who built it, including that it was built by the Vikings. Hear Bill’s fascinating theory of who built the tower and what it was used for. Seating is limited; admission is free.
Penhallow, is Professor Emeritus, Dept. of Physics at URI and the Frosty Drew Observatory's first director.
