EAST GREENWICH — An abundance of rain was already enough of an nuisance for local residents to deal with over the weekend.
However, one small part of town was in a very muddy situation.
A landslide triggered by the heavy rainfall occurred early Sunday morning where large amounts of mud and gravel plowed through metal fencing along the roadway leading into Scalloptown Park, forcing the temporary closure of the street and train service through East Greenwich.
