The contest ended in mid-December.

“What a wonderful group of winners emerged in the Holiday Shelter Challenge,” said Tim Ku-nin, CEO of The Animal Rescue Site. “There are shelters and rescue groups from every state, as well as Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Canada and the Grand Bahamas.”
The challenges have become one of The Animal Rescue Site's most popular activities. A new contest began Jan. 10. All of the animal welfare group participants must be members of, the largest online database of homeless pets on the Web. Pet Refuge posts it’s adoptable pets online at ""
“The ARS Challenges offer members a great way to connect with their commun-ities and winning is a tribute to what can be accomplished when a group works with its suppor-ters,” Liz Neuschatz, executive director of the Foundation said.
Since 2002, the Animal Rescue Site has provided funding to animal rescue charities through the company's innovative Click to Give(tm) program, direct donations through such site programs as Gifts That Give More(tm) and contributions paid for by items sold through The Animal Rescue Site's store. The Foundation is one of the major beneficiaries of The Animal Rescue Site's Click to Give(tm) program.
