WEB EXCLUSIVE: Beacon Hospice Offers Volunteer Orientation and Training Program

North Kingstown RI – Beacon Hospice, Inc. of North Kingstown RI recently announced the start of a new five-week Volunteer Training and Orientation Program. Orientation begins on March 15, 2011 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm and will be followed by volunteer training sessions on March 22nd, 29th, April 5th and 12th from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. All sessions will be held at the Beacon Hospice North Kingstown Office located at Meadows Professional Office Park, Suite C104 1130 Ten Rod Road North Kingstown, RI 02852.
Beacon Hospice provides quality end-of-life care to local terminally-ill patients out of its office in North Kingstown and relies on volunteers to ensure the delivery of extraordinary care to these patients. Volunteers can provide much needed support to patients and their families in a number of ways including:
• visiting with patients on an ongoing basis,
• sitting vigils,
• knitting blankets/crocheting afghans,
• organizing craft projects, and,
• working in the Beacon Hospice office.
