SOUTH KINGSTOWN - Picking up trash and clearing gutters with muddy boots along the way, a team of seven walked the area of the South Kingstown Public Safety Complex to determine the walkability of the nearby roads.

Rep. Teresa Tanzi (D - Dist. 34 - South Kingstown, Narragansett), Eugenia Marks, Keith Vorhaben, Bob and Karen Votava, Jennifer Donachy Judge and a Narragansett Times reporter-turned-notetaker ended the Walk Audit with very similar data on the public safety aspect of the roads that meet at the Saugatucket and Curtis Corner intersection. Tanzi referred to the situation as “a treacherous lack of walkable space.”
