NK Town Council wants a list of school repairs that could be fixed with the district’s remaining $2 million in bond money

By LINDSAY OLIVIER

NORTH KINGSTOWN — The Town Council has given the School Committee 60 days to produce a list of the district’s capital repair needs that could be addressed with the remaining $2 million of school bond money approved in 2004.

Four years ago voters approved a $9 million bond for various school repairs and upgrades to the Davisville, Forest Park, Fishing Cove, Wickford Middle and the former Wickford Elementary schools.

Town Councilman Anthony Miccolis proposed a resolution at last week’s Town Council meeting that would authorize the remaining $2 million be used to finish repairing the schools.
