NARRAGANSETT – Slow starts are nothing new to the Narragansett boys soccer team. Tuesday afternoon, Westerly made sure there wasn’t going to be a second-half comeback. The Mariners struggled with possession in the first half and played a better brand of soccer in the second half, but Westerly never let Narragansett get that one goal it needed to steal momentum as the Mariners lost, 3-0. “I don’t know what happened,” Narragansett captain Ryan Kluk said. “Basically they outplayed us in the first half. We made the adjustments in the second half and we outplayed them, but couldn’t get a goal.” For more, read the 10/10 edition of the Narragansett Times
