WOOD RIVER JCT.—The last time the Chariho and South Kingstown field hockey teams met, three weeks ago, the Chargers walked off the field disappointed after a 1-0 loss in which they were outshot, outhustled and outplayed by the Rebel offense. Tuesday, the teams squared off for the second time this season and, judging by the results, not much has changed. Well, except for the fact that the Rebels are getting even better. Thanks to a ferocious offensive attack deep inside Charger territory, South Kingstown racked up 12 penalty corners in a dominant second half Tuesday, controlling the ball for all but a few seconds of play and, with the help of a hard shot by junior forward Jillian Petrarca in the 40th minute, the Rebels scored the only goal of the contest and the only goal they would need to walk away with another 1-0 victory over Chariho and improve to 7-2-3 on the season.
