BY ABBY FOX The new town council is being sworn in Monday, Dec. 8, following the official word from the Board of Elections in Providence, who certify the election results. The board is supposed to meet on Monday, Town Council President Michael Isaacs said, and until they’re through, the newly elected officials are on hold. The vote tally released week, including nearly 700 absentee ballots, showed the next town council is new members Michael Kiernan and Richard Buonauito, and three incumbents who ran again: Michael Isaacs, Henry Boezi and Mark Schwager. Steve Gregson, former school committee member hoping for a council seat, came about 30 votes short of Buonauito. But last Wednesday, Gregson asked for a recount. Earlier this week, Buonauito was still ahead of Gregson, according to the town clerk’s office.
