Rhode Island continues to have the highest unemployment rate in the country, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics figures released last week.
The Ocean Stateâ€™s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 8.7 percent in March.
The next highest rates of unemployment were 8.5 percent in Nevada and Illinois. North Dakota again had the lowest jobless rate at 2.6 percent.
