Two motorcycle crashes in Conn. involve local men

STERLING, CONN.—Two local men were involved in two separate motorcycle accidents at the same location in Connecticut on Thursday afternoon and one man was arrested.

Frank Rossi, 43, of Crestwood Drive, West Warwick, was reportedly heading east on Sterling Road, or Route 14, in Connecticut, when, according to Connecticut State Police, he made an unsafe turn while negotiating a turn in the roadway and laid his bike over.

Minutes later in the same location, Wayne R. Lotito, 46, of Coventry Drive, Coventry, R.I., was, according to Connecticut State Police, avoiding another motorcycle involved in a collision and went down on his motorcycle causing minor damage.

Rossi was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, but Lotito was not injured, according to Connecticut State Police.

Lotito failed a field sobriety test on the scene. He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and traveling too fast for conditions.
