NARRAGANSETT - A 5.8 earthquake that hit Richmond, Va., made its way up the East Coast and was felt in Narragansett and as far north as Toronto, Canada Monday.
The quake happened at approximately 1:51 p.m. Monday according to the National Weather Service and tremors from the quake were felt across most of the Mid-Atlantic.
According to the Providence Journal, the State House was evactuated after the tremors.
