Town Council VP not seeking re-election

June 19, 2014

The East Greenwich Town Council will have another new face when the upcoming November elections are all said and done.
Jeffrey Cianciolo, who has served on the Council for two terms, including being the Council Vice-President after his re-election in 2012, has decided to not pursue a third term with the five-member quorum once the general elections have completed.
Cianciolo, who was the town moderator for five years before being first elected to the Council in 2010, said the time commitments of attending meetings every two weeks at Town Hall and overseeing all things government for East Greenwich on top of his regular duties as an attorney and a family man were some of the reasons he’s decided to forego re-election.
