Town council, police respond quickly to resident’s safety concerns

HOPKINTON — This Fall, Shannon Collet, of 167 Fairview Avenue, became concerned for her two young children’s safety because of the high speed of cars traveling around a blind curve on her street, which has a 25 mile per hour speed limit. Because she and her children must cross the street to get to the school bus stop on Dye Hill Road, she requested the town add two stop signs to slow down traffic.
