EAST GREENWICH — Once Town Council president Michael Isaacs said Monday evening that the motion for the 2012-13 fiscal budget passed, fellow Councilman Mark Gee said ‘hallelujah’ in a minor joking fashion.

The East Greenwich Town Council approved the new budget at $50, 680,585, which is an increase of $3,202,310 – or 6.31 percent – from last year’s budget by a 3-1 margin, one day before the budget had to be adopted.
