The curtain at the Greenwich Odeum Theater, at least for the time being, will close and the stage will be in the dark.

New Odeum interim president Bruce Rollins announced late last week via telephone that all upcoming shows scheduled for the summer at the historic performing arts venue on Main Street will be postponed at the very least, with some shows possibly being cancelled altogether, a slight setback after the Odeum had a stellar grand-reopening back in January.
Rollins, who has been a board member for the Odeum for the last three years and has served on many non-profit boards, stated the reasons for the temporary closure is because he wants the Odeum board to spend the summer months concentrating on fundraising, event booking, planning and other issues so that the facility can be strengthened financially on an ongoing basis.
