Annual event set to begin Friday evening at 5:00 at East Greenwich’s Eldredge Field
East Greenwich residents will get to enjoy one final summer moment by hearing the sounds of many local and national bands at Eldredge Field this weekend.
A blend of rock, jazz and classical bands will grace the stage for the 18th Annual Summer’s End Concert, with the gates opening at approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon and the performances set to start at around 5 p.m. The rain date, in the event that inclement weather occurs, will be Saturday.
In a phone interview Monday afternoon, Patrick Craft, a member of the Board of the Summer Arts and Festival Organization (SAFO), says the long-standing event will have some different elements to it for the 1,000-plus people who are expected to sit and relax at Eldredge Field.
