South Kingstown anticipates a mandatory evacuation

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - According to the Town of South Kingstown, a mandatory evacuation along the South Shore coastline, Narrow River, and other low-lying areas is anticipated. Persons in these areas should be preparing to seek shelter with family and friends.

Once a formal evacation declaration is issued, the South Kingstown High School will serve as the Town's main emergency shelter; located at 215 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI 02879. The Animal Shelter on Asa Pond Road (789-5515) is available if you need emergency shelter for your animal; current vaccination records are required.
