South handles tough rebuilding season

SOUTH KINGSTOWN — It wasn’t an easy afternoon for the South Kingstown High School softball team. The girls hosted the afternoon matchup with Cranston East that consisted of 14 runs, five innings and one thick skin on the Rebel team. South was unable to reach home plate even a single time against the Thunderbolts and struggled to defend against the onslaught of offensive power the visiting team brought to Broad Rock Playfields.
