WEST WARWICK - If you havenât spotted the Kona shaved ice truck yet, with Joyce and Bob Bouchard behind the wheel, you soon will.
Joyce and Bob Bouchard have driving their crazy, colorful Kona shaved ice truck around since July and have been making people smile with their crazy flavors of snow cones.
âThe reactions we get when people see the truck are amazing,â she said. âItâs never what anyone expects. Itâs an experience.â
The couple resides in Smithfield, work in the Cranston school department and have been traveling throughout the Kent County and South County areas bringing people a little bit of island coolness.
After researching the Kona Company on line and visiting some trucks in other nearby states to learn more about it, the couple decided to make the investment into the company so they could give something back. Bob said it was something that kept catching his eye, so he kept going back to on line.
âOne of the reasons why we wanted to be part of The Kona Ice Company is because we share their philosophy of giving back to the community,â she said. âWe have the opportunity to work with so many groups and we work with the groups to figure out how much of the proceeds are donated.â
