SKHS hosts ‘Science Outside of the Classroom Door’

South Kingstown High School students were treated to a day full of first-hand experience from practicing scientists and others in the science field on Friday. Students, staff and the speakers deemed it a success.

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - A day devoted to science brought a slew of practicing scientists from fields like criminal forensics, paleontology, fire science, cyber-security and oceanography to South Kingstown High School science classrooms on Friday.

The idea for Science Lecture Day at the school began when several science teachers talked in hypotheticals about bringing practicing scientists into the classrooms to show their students what it is like to work in the field.
