SKHS graduate McGreen eyes political career

June 23, 2014

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - Among the graduates of South Kingstown High School this year, one has his sights set on political office, already working as a staffer on Angel Taveras’ gubernatorial campaign.
Reilly McGreen, asked not to forget the little people when he is in the Oval Office at his graduation on Monday night, began his political career in 2013 as an intern to Angel Taveras. In early 2014, he was awarded the Rhode Island Senate Youth Program, a program designed to deepen young American’s understanding of the three branches of government. Each year the merit-based program invites 104 high school students to Washington, D.C., for a week-long study of the federal government, complete with the chance to meet the president.
