SK school officials speak out on education bills

March 5, 2014

SOUTH KINGSTOWN - At a hearing at the state house regarding several public education bills, testimony from School Committee Member Jonathan Daly-LaBelle and Superintendent Kristen Stringfellow added to the conversation on issues such as PARCC and NECAP testing, Common Core Standards and educator evaluations.

Daly-LaBelle spoke, directly or indirectly, to House Bills 7256, 7146, 2135, 2059 and House Resolution 7327 - all of which address the validity and delaying of standardized testing as a graduation requirement or seek closer examination of the Common Core Standards.
