SK officials resolved to do their part in 2011

December 31, 2010

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – As 2011 approaches, it's time to make up for the past by making a New Year Resolution and hoping that, over the next 12 months, you will follow it through.
Members of the South Kingstown Town Council and School Committee are no different.

As people try to remake themselves in the new year, many common resolutions include spending more time with family, losing weight, eating healthier, quitting smoking, getting out of debt or learning something new. Yet, South Kingstown leaders are more resolved to help the town rather than themselves.

As the town itself prepares for the new year, a year in which developing the next town budget and preparing for Race to the Top education funding are likely going to be two of the biggest stories impacting local residents, the South Kingstown town council and school committee have their own resolutions.

Do you have a resolution? If so, share it on the Narragansett Times’ web site today. Visit us at and let us know what your plans are for the new year, what you hope to accomplish and how you plan to do so.
