COVENTRYâ€” As having been elected as District 4â€™s Town Council seat two times before, in 1984 and 2008, Glen Shibley believes that his experience and knowledge in public office will allow him to represent the district in a professional manner.
When Shibley was in office as a councilman, there were no tax increases for his 2008-2010 term. As a state Senator in 2010, representing District 33 (Coventry, West Warwick and East Greenwich), Shibley said people in the community know him well enough to trust him as an elected official.
â€śI think it [trust] is the most important attribute anyone holding office should have and I hold that,â€ť Shibley said.
